Partner Discusses Guilty Verdict for IL Governor on Chicago Public Radio
June 23, 2006
Partner Julian Solotorovsky participated in a roundtable discussion on Chicago Public Radio reacting to the guilty verdict in the corruption trial of former Illinois Governor George Ryan. Julian commented that the governor’s defense team likely preferred the verdict of guilty on all 18 counts, as opposed to a split verdict, in that it would be more difficult for the defense to argue the verdict was unfair if, in a split, it reflected very careful, very nuanced deliberations. The Chicago Tribune reported on the discussion and included Julian’s commentary in the article.
