The Law360 article, "Kelley Drye Lands 2 Schiff Hardin IP Partners," reported that Douglass C. Hochstetler and Beth D. Jacob, "two seasoned intellectual property attorneys" have joined the firm's Chicago and New York offices.
The article stated, "Having served as a patent litigator for more than 25 years, the science-minded Hochstetler has largely focused his career in the pharmaceutical industry, having gone to battle on behalf of leading generic drug manufacturers against major pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer Inc., Abbott Laboratories and many others."
It also stated, "Jacob has focused her intellectual property career on the representation of generic pharmaceutical makers in Hatch-Waxman proceedings. She had additionally gone to court in cases involving mass tort product liability, employment discrimination, securities claims and various other matters. She notably represented the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in property damage litigation arising from the Sept. 11 attacks."
