Senior associate Lauren Schlussel
was quoted in the Law360
article, “Applebee's Franchisee Told To Clarify Risks In Ch. 11 Plan.” The article discusses how bankrupt Applebee’s restaurant franchisee RMH Franchise Holdings won court approval for its Chapter 11 plan voting disclosure, but only after the judge ordered changes to make its confirmation and funding risks clearer to creditors. Schlussel, counsel to the official committee of unsecured creditors, said there was no company valuation to support the company’s distribution plans or its move toward confirmation.
“There’s no explanation of how that gap is going to be filled other than, frankly, a hope and a prayer that they’ll reach an agreement” with Applebee’s, Schlussel said.
