Associate Kristi L. Wolff was quoted in the Law360 article "Grocers Say FDA Menu Label Rules Overreach." The article discusses the Food and Drug Administration's new regulations that will require grocers, restaurants and other establishments to clearly list the calories contained in the prepared foods they offer. Many organizations, such as The National Grocers Association, the Food Marketing Institute and the Association for Convenience & Fuel Retailing, have criticized the FDA's final rules. Ms. Wolff points out that the expansiveness of the rules reflects the FDA's view that providing accurate caloric information is an important public health issue. She recognizes the surprising breadth of the regulations, such as the inclusion of alcoholic beverages, and believes that many organizations will continue to challenge them. "This is a story that will continue," she said.
