Law360 reports in an article titled ITC Begins Probe Of Electrical Steel From Asia, Europe” that Kelley Drye is representing AK Steel Corp., Allegheny Ludlum LLC and the United Steelworkers union in petitions with both the US International Trade Commission and the US Department of Commerce. Partner John M. Herrmann is part of the legal team for these domestic companies as they seek to restore fair competition in the U.S. market for grain-oriented electrical steel. The ITC announced on Wednesday that it would look into the petitioners’ allegations that seven countries in Asia and Europe have harmed domestic steelmaker business interests by dumping and subsidizing imports of grain-oriented electrical steel in America.
