Kelley Drye is mentioned in the Law360 article ITC Says Cheap Plate Imports Are Harming US Steel Industry.” The U.S. International Trade Commission recently said that American businesses are likely being hurt by imports of certain carbon and alloy steel cut-to-length plate allegedly subsidized by the Chinese and South Korean governments and sold on the domestic market at less than fair value by foreign manufacturers. Nordic and U.S.-based SSAB Enterprises LLC, Chicago’s ArcelorMittal USA LLC and Nucor Corporation in Charlotte, North Carolina, filed petitions with the ITC and the U.S. Department of Commerce on April 8, alleging that the CTL plate imports are being dumped on the U.S. market at hefty margins and that the governments of Brazil, China and South Korea are unfairly subsidizing the merchandise.
