Partner Andrew M. White was interviewed in the Law360 article, “Rainmaker Q&A: Kelley Drye's Andrew White.” In the interview he discusses how he became and has stayed a rainmaker, as well as the advice he would give to an aspiring rainmaker. White shares the tale of how his skills and experience landed him a big client, and advises that one must recognize that developing a reputation and a clientele is a career-long process that takes time and careful nurturing. He likens this process to “creating an apple orchard by planting apple seeds one-by-one,” noting that “you are not likely to see any fruit in the early years, but if the seeds you plant are strong, and if you carefully nurture the early seedlings which those seeds produce, a strong harvest — both in reputation and in clients — will eventually follow.”
