The addition of partner John Dellaportas was reported on in the Law360 article “Kelley Drye Snags Securities Ace From Morgan Lewis.” Mr. Dellaportas joins as co-chair of the firm’s securities litigation and enforcement practice group. “We have a real growing securities litigation practice, and it’s an opportunity for me to co-lead it and shape it in a way that I think clients are going to be happy with it,” Mr. Dellaportas said. “Part of what drew me here is we have a real innovative approach to handle these cases efficiently and in a manner that clients can afford.”
He also commented on the advantages of the size of Kelley Drye’s litigation practice group. “It’s already a thriving practice, and we have a mandate to make it even more so. In the defense field, I’d say a lot of the bigger firms apply what I’d call a paint-by-numbers approach, which is perhaps doesn’t serve clients as well as one could.”
