KDW Partner Quoted in USA Today on Court's Decision on Microsoft Sanctions
August 10, 2004
Partner Richard Donovan was quoted in a USA Today article regarding a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia to throw out objections by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that sanctions in the Department of Justice’s antitrust case against Microsoft were too lenient. The article describes the end of this landmark monopoly case as “anticlimactic,” as the Court’s decision ruled that the settlement negotiated in the case was “in the public interest.” “It’s a good win for the government and Microsoft, but in some ways, the opinion is not so important because the marketplace is a lot different now,” said Mr. Donovan.
