Columbia College Today and Columbia Law School Magazine Note Partner William A. Escobar as MCCA Leading Rainmaker

Partner William A. Escobar was noted and highlighted in Columbia College Today (March/April 2009), the school’s alumni magazine. The write-up stated, I always thought that rainmaker’ was a word used only to describe lawyers in books, movies and TV shows. Turns out it is also applied in real life, recently to William Escobar, selected as one of 16 Leading Law Firm Rainmakers 2008’ by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association. William earned his law degree from Columbia in 1981 and has been working for more than 20 years at Kelley Drye & Warren in New York, where he is partner and co-chair of the litigation practice group.”

Columbia Law School Magazine (Winter 2009), another alumni publication, also published the news of Mr. Escobar’s Minority Corporate Counsel Association honor. The summary noted he was chosen for his legal accomplishments and success in business development at the highest levels.”
