Bloomberg BNA Quotes Partner Paul C. Rosenthal on U.S. Sugar Industry

Partner Paul C. Rosenthal was quoted in the Bloomberg BNA article ​“Critics Say Mexican Sugar Doesn’t Threaten U.S. Industry.” The article reports on how representatives of the Sweetener Users Association, the Mexican Sugar Chamber and the Corn Refiners Association have said that imports of Mexican sugar are not undercutting domestic U.S. industry. Mr. Rosenthal, who is counsel for the Sweetener Users Association, commented that there have been misleading statistics that misrepresent the commercial reality and while sugar imports from Mexico increased during the period of investigation they did not displace U.S. producers. In fact, he said, U.S. producers actually gained market share during that time.
