article “ITC finds injury in aluminum foil case.” The International Trade Commission voted to continue the case, brought by the Aluminum Association pursuing anti-dumping and countervailing duties of aluminum foil imports from China. The ITC stated there was “a reasonable indication that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of aluminum foil that are allegedly subsidized and sold in the United States at less than fair value.” "This affirmative decision is an important first step in remedying the devastating injury that the flood of unfairly-traded imports of aluminum foil from China have had on the domestic industry," noted John.
