Partner Alysa Hutnik was interviewed on Al Jazeera America regarding the HeartBleed Computer bug, a flaw in an encryption tool that had gone undetected for two years, and the extent of the damage it has caused. Alysa said that “data security is not about perfection. There are always going to be data security breaches, security flaws – the key is… are our businesses staying on top of the latest security?” She explained that the important thing now is for companies to do damage control by first identifying if they are using this tool and if so, upgrading to the next version and updating all digital certificates to prevent additional leaks.
