The Washington Post Names Kelley Drye a Top Workplace” for Sixth Year in a Row

Kelley Drye is pleased to announce that, for the sixth year in a row, the firm’s DC office has been named one of The Washington Posts Top Workplaces for 2019.  Selection is based on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.
Now in its sixth year, The Post’s Top Workplaces list continues to reflect companies in the region that cultivate a connection with their workforce,” said Washington Post Top Workplaces editor Dion Haynes.  It’s clear from the survey that these organizations share a commitment to providing support and an environment that makes employees feel valued and respected.”

I am thrilled that we have been named a Top Workplace for six years straight – it is a testament to our attorneys and staff more than anything else,” said Kathy Cannon, managing partner of the firm’s Washington office.  We spend so much of our day with the people we work with, it has always been and will always remain a priority to create a work environment where lawyers and staff are passionate and driven and share an all in’ attitude.”
This past year, Kelley Drye continued with firm traditions such as staff appreciation week, community service events with local DC organizations such as Miriam’s Kitchen, Bright Beginnings, an ongoing partnership with Noyes Elementary School, annual baseball games and family day at the National Zoo – events that give attorneys and staff time to connect outside of the traditional work environment.  The firm also took a closer look at health and wellness.  In October, the firm held a retreat for women partners and special counsel, which emphasized health and well-being, in addition to programming about client service and business development.  The DC office also formed a Wellness Committee, which already implemented healthier food options, a wellness newsletter, and a larger wellness week event.
