Partner Kate Visosky will be Kelley Drye’s 2017 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow. Kate, a partner in the Labor and Employment practice group, will represent Kelley Drye in this program that was created by LCLD to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. She joins a class of approximately 250 attorneys from around the country selected as LCLD Fellows for 2017.
Kate focuses on all areas of labor and employment law, with an emphasis on employment-related litigation and proactive counseling of management-side clients. An aggressive and effective litigator, she is astute in handling class action and complex litigation, high-stakes wage and hour disputes, discrimination/retaliation claims, and agency charges. Kate prosecutes and defends actions involving employee mobility, including restrictive covenants, protection of confidential/proprietary information, employee raiding and trade secret issues. She provides clients practical strategies for navigating complex employment issues.
Kate is a California liaison to the firm’s diversity committee. With an active pro bono practice, she also devotes a considerable amount of time to supporting the legal efforts of GLAAD.
