On February 28, 2017, partner Bill Jackson
and his family received the 2017 Wild Life Award from Houston Wilderness. The award honors their professional and philanthropic efforts in preserving Houston’s natural environment and abundant natural resources. According to Houston Wilderness, Jackson and his family are being honored for their “strong and enduring commitment to enhancing Houston’s quality of life and preserving the natural environment for many generations to experience and enjoy.” Houston Wilderness is a broad-based alliance of business, environmental, and government interests that acts in concert to protect, preserve and promote the unique biodiversity of the region’s natural resources and ecological capital from bottomland hardwoods and pine forests to regional watersheds, wetlands and Galveston Bay. For years, Mr. Jackson has served on the boards of Houston Wilderness and the Galveston Bay Foundation, among other organizations focused on Houston’s quality of life.
