InMotion Commitment to Justice Honors Kelley Drye Volunteers

Kelley Drye was among the law firms and corporations honored at InMotion Inc.‘s 9th Annual Commitment to Justice Awards, for providing pro bono volunteers. Kelley Drye’s volunteers included partner Robert E. Crotty and associate Melissa E. Byroade. The volunteers were listed on the program’s Honor Roll” for giving their compassion, time, energy and professional skills to help InMotion serve New York City’s most vulnerable families.”

InMotion provides free legal and social services to low-income women. InMotion’s services are designed to address the unique needs of women who suffer from abuse and domestic violence, as well as live in immigrant communities that are isolated by language and cultural barriers. InMotion recruits, trains and mentors volunteer lawyers from New York City’s premier corporate law firms and private practices in matrimonial, family and immigration law. In 2008, more than 1,500 individuals volunteered at InMotion and donated over 67,000 hours of their time representing clients. The value of the free legal services donated equals more than $20,000,000.
