On January 29, 2015, the Kelley Drye Chicago Women’s Initiative held their first event of the year ‘A Breath of Spring--Preview of Kate Spade Spring Trends.’ Led by co-chairs, associates Marcella Hein and Janine Fletcher, the night of exclusive shopping at Kate Spade was chock-full of networking, personal styling, and scrumptious food—all infused with a philanthropic twist. The Chicago Women’s Initiative invited clients, prospects, and referral sources for a night out to network and celebrate Dress for Success, a charity that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women. Attendees from Google, Fifth Third Bank, RR Donnelly and Anthem, among others, enjoyed a closed boutique, exclusive discount, and private fashion show that featured attendees as models.

As summed up by Marcella Hein, “Our first event of 2015 was a success. We brought together over 30 accomplished women clients, prospects, and Kelley Drye attorneys in a truly relaxed environment to build relationships and help a worthwhile cause.” For Janine Fletcher, the event was a perfect way to shake off the Chicago winter blues. “Everyone enjoyed themselves, expanded their networks, gave back, and had fun in the process. The feedback we’ve received from attendees has been ‘When are we doing this again?!’”
