On September 12, 2014 Katie Bond will speak at the Inaugural EU Food Workshop and Tenth Annual Nutrition Law Symposium in Lehi, UT. Ms. Bond's session, "Welcome to the 21st Century: The Age of Advertising Scrutiny," will discuss how historically the FTC was the primary skeptic and challenger of advertisements, but now class action plaintiffs and even competitors are increasing the heat and challenging every conceivable claim or statement. This panel will provide an overview and key lessons learned from POM's recent challenge of Coca Cola's juice labeling to recent FTC activity as well as the latest class action battles going on in California and other parts of the country.
