On December 1, 2010 partner Eric McClafferty spoke at the American Conference Institute’s Advanced Summit on Complying with Nuclear Export Controls in a session titled “Update on Nuclear Export Enforcement & How Proposed Export Reform Will Affect the Nuclear Industry.” The session provided an understanding of how the proposed use of a “unifed” export license application for BIS and DDTC will impact nuclear exports; an examination of how nuclear items could be impacted by the consolidation of dual-use export items into the USML; an update on recent cases and agency red flags; and other critical issues.
