On October 15, partner Sarah L. Reid moderated a panel discussion among leading women in-house counsel. The distinguished panelists included women from companies such as JPMorgan Chase & Co, BP America Inc, Albermarle Corporation, and Pitney Bowes. The panelists, all Kelley Drye clients, represented a range of industries and spoke about the rapid changes occurring in the legal profession and how these changes affect their work and relationships with outside counsel. The engaging session dealt with key issues including the increasing role of technology, legal billing, and shifting roles in light of the new economy. The panelists also shared thoughts on how to build a practice in the current environment and offered some pet peeves about outside counsel.
