Partner Josh Guyan will participate on "The Impact of Lifeline Reform on Wireless Consumers," a panel during the 2016 SHLB Annual Conference. The FCC has proposed to modernize the Lifeline program to support broadband. Low-Income consumers find wireless service to be most attractive, and approximately 90% of the current Lifeline program support flows to wireless companies. The new FCC Order allows support for stand-alone wireless broadband service, but it poses some special challenges for wireless companies and voice consumers. This panel will explore how the revised Lifeline program will impact wireless consumers and companies.
