The South Asian Bar Association of North America (SABA) held its 15th Annual Convention “Carrying the Torch” in New York City in June, with Kelley Drye’s litigation associate Malavika (Molly) Rao moderating a key panel “The Challenges of Litigating Cases in the Public Eye.”  The panel focused on how the rise of social media and the explosion of media outlets in the digital age have impacted the way lawyers try cases.  The distinguished panelists examined the mechanics of litigating a case inside and outside the courtroom and addressed some of the steps practitioners should take to balance competing interests.  “It was an excellent and informative panel” said Molly Rao, the panel moderator.  Panelists included Harmeet Dhillon (founding partner of Dhillon Law Group Inc. and former vice chairman of the California Republican Party),  Samidh Guha (partner at Jones Day), and Sovy Azhath (producer at CNN).
