On October 05, 2012, partner Alysa Z. Hutnik spoke on new FTC consumer protection policies and how they come to bear on the interaction entertainment (i.e. gaming”) industry with a focus on privacy and data security at the Law Seminars International Third Annual Seattle Comprehensive Two-Day Conference on Gamer Technology Law. Ms. Hutnik drew from her extensive experience counseling clients regarding compliance with federal and state laws on privacy and data security, training clients’ employees on privacy, data security, advertising and business practices that comply with federal and state consumer protection law, and performing privacy and data security audits of companies’ information practices, and assisting companies on identifying and implementing remediation efforts.
