Partner Barbara Hoey participated in AHHRA's 2007 Annual Conference: "Managing the Use/Preventing Abuse of Technology in Your Workplace." The program focused on the multiple reasons why every healthcare employer must monitor and manage employees use of technology resources, including e-mail, the Internet, blogging, cell phones, Blackberrys and PDAs. Ms. Hoey's presentation covered why companies should monitor their employees use of technology, how to legally monitoring use of technology, and what tools employers can use to do so legally and effectively.
