Partner Talat Ansari spoke at the ABA Section of International Law's Spring CLE Meeting on April 14-18, 2009, at The Fairmont in Washington, D.C. Mr. Ansari's panel explored the legal profession in China, India and the Middle East by reviewing topics such as the academic qualifications required, the range of employment opportunities in these regions, the structure of law firms, the ability of foreign lawyers to practice in these jurisdictions, the cultural barriers to foreign lawyers and the protectionism of local bar associations.

Over 1,200 participants from over 50 countries attended the event, bringing together the world's leading international lawyers (including both in-house and outside counsel), academicians, and government officials from around the world.
