On April 11, 2019, the Muslim Bar Association of New York hosted its Fourth Annual Gala & Awards reception, with Letitia James, Attorney General of the State of New York serving as the keynote speaker.  Awardees included Jameel Jaffar, executive director of the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University, who received the Trailblazer Award and the Court Square Law Project, a program created by the New York City Bar Association and the City University of New York School of Law to provide high-quality civil legal services to moderate-income clients, with the Champions for Justice Award.  Kelley Drye was a sponsor of the event with Director of Diversity, Venetta Amory in attendance.
