Kelley Drye Launches Diverse Associate Network

October 4, 2018

On October 4, 2018, Kelley Drye associates and special counsel gathered for the launch of the Diverse Associate Network (DAN), a forum for racial and/or ethnic minority associates from historically underrepresented groups to promote their careers and professional development by creating a safe space, building community, sharing and transferring knowledge, and leveraging collective resources.  The Network will also liaise with the firm’s diversity and inclusion committee and firm leaders to advance mutual goals.

Keynoting the launch, which was held over lunch and video-conferenced across offices, was partner Bill Escobar, former litigation chair, who offered moving remarks on his career journey at Kelley Drye, sharing advice on what he believes makes for success.  Pamela Bruzzese-Szczygiel, chair of the firm’s diversity and inclusion committee, who will serve as a sounding board” and advocate for the group, also attended.  Director of Diversity Venetta Amory welcomed participants.
