On February 9, 2012, partner Paul C. Rosenthal presented at the Georgetown Law CLE International Trade Update 2012 in Washington DC. Mr. Rosenthal served as program co-chair and moderated the session, “Internal Compliance Issues Beyond the Usual: Supply Chains, Social, and Security Compliance Issues.” The session discussed the expanding range of issues and expertise important to compliance in 2012, including new requirements focused on supply chains and driven by social and security concerns. The panel examined best practices in dealing with these mandates - from “conflict minerals” to child labor, Federal procurement bans, and security mandates affecting supply chains.
