On December 1, 2011, partner Sarah Roller spoke at the American Conference Institute's Advanced Summit on Defending Food and Beverage Consumer Fraud Litigation in Chicago, IL. Ms. Roller presented in the session, "How Consumer Information Can Be Used Against You: Discussing What Types and How Information Collected Through Customer Call Centers Should be Treated." The session's focus included preventing pitfalls when recording data so as to minimize litigation exposure, monitoring employee follow-ups with customers, knowing what type of information should be discoverable should litigation arise and what can be subject to attorney-client privilege, and discussing the litigation hold possibilities of data received through a call center.
