On April 5, 2012, partner Sarah Roller spoke at the Grocery Manufacturers Association Science Forum in Washington D.C. Ms. Roller presented during the session, “Health, Wellness and Ingredient Safety: What’s the Skinny on Fats?” The session discussed the public health focus in recent decades on trans fats and saturated fats in foods and the increasing evidence for cardiovascular benefits from consuming omega-3 fatty acids. Panelists interpreted the latest research to provide guidance on the types and amounts of fat that can help contribute to a healthy diet.
