On September 11, 2013, of counsel Jodie Z. Bernstein spoke at the U.S. Department of State and ESPNW's Global Sports Mentoring Program. Ms. Bernstein reflected on her career, including her time as General Counsel of Health and Human Services, where she developed and issued a set of regulations giving effect to Title IX of the Civil Rights Act, which has been credited with bringing 3 million girls into sports and education programs formerly unavailable to them. Additionally, Ms. Bernstein shared some advice for the 17 women from countries around the world who are taking part of this program as they set out on a month long mentorship with a female executive at a top organization.
