On November 14, 2012, partner Sarah Roller moderated a panel at the National Consumers League's Consumer Protection Symposium on Capitol Hill. The symposium explored food safety, sequestration, and privacy issues that affect consumers. It featured expert panelists from the Executive and Legislative branches, consumer advocates, industry representatives, and members of the media. Ms. Roller's panel dealt with the future of food safety for consumers and workers.
The event was made possible through a grant from Kelley Drye & Warren LLP. The firm has a shared history with NCL as Florence Kelley, the mother of its name partner Nicholas Kelley, served as the first General Secretary of the NCL for 33 years and was widely recognized as one of the leading progressives in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
