Partner Christie Grymes Thompson served as session chair and moderator at the 59th Spring Meeting of the ABA Section of Antitrust Law, on March 30, 2011 in Washington, D.C. Ms. Thompson’s panel, “Consumer Protection Regulatory Roundup: Insights from the Enforcers,” discussed FTC’s and states’ sharpened focus on conduct that harms consumers and negatively impacts the economy. The panel assessed the priorities of the past year, what we should expect in the months ahead, and how industry self-regulation through the National Advertising Division helped prevent consumer injury.
