On March 21, 2012, associate Christopher M. Loeffler spoke at the 7th Annual Federal Communications Bar Association Privacy & Data Security Symposium: "Privacy Dangers, Dilemmas & Solutions for a Digital Age," in Washington, D.C. Mr. Loeffler spoke on the panel, “Can Social Networking be Private? – Privacy Issues Related to Advertising and Marketing on Social Network Platforms.” The panel discussed social network platforms’ own privacy requirements and limitations for their users regarding how personal information is collected, used and disclosed, as well as rules and guidelines for conducting promotions and marketing using the social network.
