This session addressed the legal considerations relating to the use of big data as it relates to specific industries and is governed by specific laws, such as the Federal Trade Commission Act, health privacy under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Gramm-Leach Bliley Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
