On November 15, 2017, senior litigation associate Kristina Allen was honored by the Urban League of Southern Connecticut at a luncheon program at the Stamford Sheraton.  One of several distinguished women recognized by the League as “2017 Women of Power” for their career successes and community contributions, Kristina graciously accepted the award thanking her family, friends and the firm for supporting and encouraging her achievements.

The luncheon was part of the League’s Women’s Empowerment Summit, a full day program featuring panels on topics impacting women.  Kristina also served on a panel of young women of color, reflecting on the challenges of navigating careers while helping to make change in the lives of others.  Kristina is a member of the board of the Urban League of Southern Connecticut; an active member of the New York City Bar Association and the Metropolitan Black Bar Association; and a mentor to young women through the Harlem YMCA’s Black Achievers in Industry (BAI) program and the Lower East Side Girls Club’s Museum Club.

Kelley Drye was a sponsor of the Summit, with litigation partners Jon Cooperman and Philip Robben attending the award program.  Also in attendance at the luncheon program were partner Jen Bedoya and senior associate Wendy Clarke, along with director of diversity Venetta Amory and Trey Reliford, Kristina’s husband.
