On August 23, the U.S. Department of Labor's new regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) took effect. The new regulations, entitled FairPay alter the analysis every employer must undertake to determine whether an employee is exempt or non-exempt from the federal minimal wage and overtime requirements.
These regulations will have a significant impact on all employers.
