Financial Services, Payment Security, and Financial Date Best PracticesGetting It Right In 2008

New York CLE Seminar Series

April 28, 2008 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm (EDT)

Join Kelley Drye’s Consumer Financial Services Group for a discussion of merchant and financial service provider obligations when dealing with consumer payment information, consumer transaction histories, and after-application/after-sale non-public personal financial information, including a summary of obligations under FCRA, GLB, FACTA (new requirements for 2008), and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.

The seminar provided an overview of existing state and federal regulatory requirements, discuss current best practices, and review recent investigations and litigation relating to the acceptance, use and retention of consumer financial information, as well as the insurance coverage available for defending these types of investigations and litigation, so that you walk away equipped with the tools you need to get it right in 2008.

In accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board, this non-transitional continuing legal education program is not approved for the newly admitted attorney within the first two years of admission to the Bar.
