California Consumer Privacy Workshop

July 18, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm (EDT)

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2020, and will significantly expand the scope of privacy obligations for U.S. businesses. However, unlike the two-year implementation period for the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the CCPA compliance timeline is tight and many aspects are still subject to change.

Please roll up your sleeves and join us for an interactive, half-day workshop discussing the latest CCPA developments and strategies for compliance. Topics include a deep dive into understanding and applying core CCPA provisions, amendments, and exceptions; preventing unintended sales” of data; updating applicable privacy policy provisions and other disclosures; and considerations for business partner and vendor management. A reception to support networking with your privacy peers will follow the program.

This workshop is open to the public but registration is required.
