Practice Development Coordinator

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, a powerhouse firm with the heart of a boutique, is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Practice Development Coordinator to assist in the implementation of business development and marketing strategies for the Litigation practice groups. Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and an excellent work ethic are essential. The Practice Development Coordinator will be based in Kelley Drye’s New York office and will provide support for the nation-wide litigation group. Responsibilities and requirements include the following:
 
Business Development
  • Work with Practice Development Managers and attorneys to develop a deep knowledge of the firm’s litigation practice, clients, experience, and capabilities in order to further business development goals

  • Set up docket alerts to track new litigation cases

  • Conduct company, industry and other business development research and synthesize findings into actionable intelligence

  • Assist with the litigation group’s active development of new business pitches and proposals, including drafting content, assembling documents and editing presentations

  • Assist with visually effective PowerPoint presentations, design and graphics, layout and production

  • Maintain litigation-related experience lists in the firm’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) database for inclusion in proposals for new business, surveys and submissions, and attorney bios

  • Track activity and the results of business development proposals and initiatives
 
Digital Marketing
  • Develop content for website to highlight attorney publications, upcoming events, and media mentions, among other news items

  • Coordinate initiatives to raise the profiles of the practices and attorneys by securing speaking, sponsorship and writing opportunities

  • Coordinate distribution of client communications and email marketing campaigns, tracking deliverability and results
 
Events
  • Assist Practice Development Managers in planning seminars and webinars

  • Help with post-event follow-up activities and measurement of ROI
 
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support or manage special projects as needed, and other responsibilities as assigned
 
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

  • One to two years of marketing or business development experience is preferred

  • Excellent writing skills, proofreading ability, and overall attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
