Labor and Employment Attorney
Kelley Drye & Warren LLP is seeking a Labor and Employment Attorney to join the Firm’s Los Angeles office. Candidates must be licensed in California and have at least 5 years of law firm experience in employment law litigation and counseling. A background in arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and preparing and responding to written discovery is required. General responsibilities include: organization and production; conducting legal research; and drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, answers, and affidavits. Candidates should have experience in active motion practice in both state and federal court, including motions for summary judgment, motions opposing class certification, motions to compel, and temporary restraining orders; summarizing and analyzing documents and deposition testimony; and conducting fact investigation/development.
Candidates should be able to address general employment law issues, including wage and hour, FMLA/ADA, discrimination and wrongful termination. Experience drafting policies and employee handbooks and conducting training is a plus.
