The New York office of Kelley Drye & Warren LLP seeks a Labor and Employment associate to continue the significant growth of its L&E group. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of law firm experience. Qualified candidates will possess a background in all areas of employment law, including state and federal discrimination and wage/hour law. Candidate should also have direct experience handling employment litigation in state and federal courts, and matters before the administrative agencies, including drafting pleadings and motions, handling discovery independently, preparation for and defense of depositions, and court appearances. Counseling experience and excellent client-relations skills required. Traditional labor experience – i.e. knowledge of the NLRA and experience handling matters before the NLRB, and arbitrations and other disputes with unions - would be a plus. Experience in New Jersey and Connecticut (i.e. tri-state) also a plus.
