Labor and Employment 101: Managing a Remote Workforce

As workforces become increasingly mobile, and the line between personal time and work time blurs, employers face the challenge of balancing data security with employee privacy rights. While breaches of customer data have received the most media scrutiny, employee data breaches are also causing legal problems for companies. Employers are facing increasing pressure to manage employee communications, measure productivity, maintain corporate image, and deter or prevent wrongdoing.

In this session, our labor and employment attorneys will discuss the laws and regulations that employers should be aware of when managing a remote workforce, including data and other information security, confidentiality, wage and hour concerns, workers’ compensation/liability issues, and posting requirements.
