Mentoring Program

Our mentoring program is designed to help new associates adjust to, and excel at, the practice of law at Kelley Drye. Once assigned to a practice group, first-year associates are paired with associate mentors who field work-related questions, make introductions to others at the Firm and assist with the overall transition. Mentors also help familiarize first-year associates with the work environment at Kelley Drye and provide guidance and advice on firm practices and procedures. In addition, the Firm provides opportunities throughout the year for mentors and new associates to get to know one another and build a professional relationship.

With the commencement of the annual summer associate program, first-year attorneys are given the opportunity to share the knowledge they have gained from the mentoring program with the Firm’s newest members, the summer associates, who join existing mentor groups. The Firm’s first-year associates therefore become mentors themselves, to perpetuate the program. Each mentoring cluster is also joined by a partner, rounding out the varying perspectives offered by and available to the participants, and making the program a truly comprehensive resource at the Firm.
