Partner Larry Lasoff was featured as an expert in the “Economic Sanctions – Enforcement and Compliance” forum, which was published in the October-December issue of Risk & Compliance Magazine. Larry was one of four panel experts fielding questions and discussing the effects of recent economic sanctions. When discussing recent trends, he notes “the continued rise of multilateral measures and the increased use of highly specific sanctions measures.” Larry also provides advice for any individuals or companies that may be affected by sanctions. He suggests that, “companies must maintain a trained compliance team that continuously monitors sanction developments.” When asked about the future of sanctions in trade and finance, he notes that companies should expect Western governments to continue to utilize sanctions in order to address foreign policy issues.
