Copyright Termination for Noncopyright Majors: An Overview of Termination Rights and Procedures

This article comprehensively explains the provisions governing the termination of copyrights. It begins with a brief history of the Copyright Act, then sets forth the various procedures by which authors can effect the terminations permitted by the 1976 Copyright Act. It also analyzes the principal substantive issues that courts have addressed in response to numerous disputes resulting from termination procedures.
