Economic Consulting and Data Services - World Trade Flow Reports

Our World Trade Reports track international trade in any product or group of products of interest to your or your clients. With GES's reports, you can measure your industry's foreign trade and trade balance against those of any other country.

Use GES World Trade Reports to spot growing world markets for your company's products and to track changes in both the level and composition of imports and exports into other countries.

New market opportunities are arising all over the world as globalization gathers momentum. Growing economies in Asia and Latin America offer significant prospects for U.S. firms. Greater contacts for U.S. firms with former Communist regimes also offer potential. You can measure your company's progress against competitors in other countries in exporting to these growing economies, or discover emerging export markets by having GES design a world trade monitoring program.

GES world trade reports provide a continuous monitoring of trade in the client-selected products for almost any country in the world. If it is important to know which countries are shipping competing products into your markets, the GES World Trade Reports would be an important contribution to your market intelligence efforts.

An outstanding example of GES work product in the trade flows area was our development and compiling of "reverse trade" import and export data from China, in which the true size of the Chinese trade surpluses with the U.S. and world were calculated by examining the trade data of 54 of China’s major trading partners. That study, which demonstrated that China’s trade surpluses are actually much greater than shown in China’s own statistics, was an integral part of the Chinese Currency Coalition’s Sec. 301 petition charging Chinese government with currency manipulation.
