Kelley Drye represents international clients and their U.S.-based affiliates on inbound and third-country matters, and represents U.S. clients on outbound matters. We represent banks and other financial institutions, trading companies and their U.S. subsidiaries and affiliates, consulting companies, manufacturing companies (including pharmaceutical, electronics, software, aviation, power, construction, telecommunication, computer hardware, food, tobacco and general manufacturing), as well as governments.

The Firm's international practice involves counseling companies in connection with the establishment of business entities; acquisitions and divestitures; issuance of ADRs; joint ventures; financing transactions; intellectual property licensing and technology transfer agreements; commercial transactions (including sales agreements, distributorship arrangements and secured transactions); real estate transactions and development; antitrust and trade regulation matters; labor relations and employment discrimination matters; immigration matters; customs matters; tax matters; and litigation and arbitration.

The Firm's international lawyers have extensive experience assisting highly-regulated companies in the development of their business in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. We have counseled such companies on all aspects of the establishment and structuring of their foreign operations as the protection of their intellectual property rights, and the licensing of their products around the world. We advise these companies on antitrust and other legal aspects of their distribution policies, as well as the effects of global legal developments on their business.

Lawyers involved in international matters work closely with all of the practice groups at the Firm. These include intellectual property, banking and finance, corporate finance and securities (including contracts, distribution, emerging ventures, joint ventures, corporate ventures, and capital formation), project finance, telecommunications, mergers and acquisitions, environmental law, tax and litigation (such as contracts and distribution issues), including European Union ("EU") competition law.

Kelley Drye has attorneys who are proficient in Cantonese, Dutch, Filipino (Tagalog), French, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Korean, Mandarin, Marathi, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Taiwanese, Telegu, Urdu and Vietnamese.
