Kelley Drye Welcomes Antitrust and Competition Lawyer to its D.C. Office

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP is pleased to announce that David H. Evans has joined the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice Group as a partner in the Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Evans’ diverse practice includes civil and individual criminal antitrust litigation, as well as complex international mergers and acquisitions. He has significant experience in a range of industries, including electronic commerce, computer hardware and software, private equity, automotive, chemicals, medical devices and defense. He is experienced in managing mergers, civil and criminal litigation, counseling, Hart–Scott–Rodino, second requests, international behavioral, merger filings, and investigations.

Mr. Evans joins Kelley Drye from Chadbourne & Parke LLP, where he was a partner and chair of the Antirust and Trade Regulation Department. Previously, he was with Arent Fox LLP. He is a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Antitrust Committee and a member of the ABA Section of Antitrust Law, where he was previously on the Council, chair of the Legislative Committee, chair of the Computer and Internet Committee, Consumer Protection Coordinator, a member of the Antitrust Modernization Task Force, and a member of the Committee Structure Task Force. He was a fellow at the Stanford University School of Law’s Center for Internet and Society and is a life fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

Mr. Evans has spoken extensively on topics including information exchanges, technological tying, antitrust, HSR, and the interface between intellectual property and antitrust, and has testified before the Federal Trade Commission. He is a frequent speaker before the ABA Section of Antitrust Law, ABA Section of Business Law, the Biotechnology Industry Organization, the American Conference Institute, and Practising Law Institute. He edited and authored the ABA Section of Antitrust Law Handbook on Electronic Commerce and Antitrust, and has written numerous articles for bar journals, Antitrust Source, and Antitrust Magazine. He has also served on the editorial board of CompLaw360.

Mr. Evans received his J.D. and his B.A. from Northwestern University. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and various U.S. District Courts and U.S. Courts of Appeals.
